Spring Horseback Ride
(Okay this is an old post that I started but the internet failed just as I was trying to upload photos. So here it is anyway.) Well Ashton was hoping I would post some more pictures of our ride we took last Saturday so I guess I better. We had a really enjoyable ride. BUT...I definately got saddle sore. Guess that's what I get for not riding for so long. We went down on the buckhorn wash. Luke had heard about a trail down by Mexican Hat. Well we didn't go quite far enough down the buckhorn before we jumped the horses out. We ended up riding into a few dead ends before we figured we were done riding. It was a lot of fun though. Now we know what the early scouts had to go through to find ways through the desert. These washes we rode up were pretty tricky and rock in some spots. FUN FUN FUN

Wow, this is the first time I've been tagged and it's quite funny. Go to your 6th file and pull the 6th picture. Well, I did and look what I got!!

I started laughing my head off. I got Casey's permission first so I wouldn't be in the dog house. LOL We were taking family pictures that day and I was testing my camera and the light so he was helping me and gave me his best side. HE HE HE J/K That was pretty fun. So now I am tagging Ashton, Angie, Ali, Brooke, Shemri and Julie!! Have fun girls!!

Really bad blogger....
Okay so I have been so bad a updating my blog. I was hoping life would slow down after Christmas. Ya right. Between Casey's back problem and sick kids I am really getting anxious for some warm weather so I can air out my house and maybe get rid of all the germs!!! Anyway, an update on Casey. Well, after his surgery in Dec he still had a considerable amount of leg pain. The Dr. had warned us that he might still have the leg pain because the nerve had been agitated for so long but over time would go away. Well, it stayed the same until January 8th when he got the stomach flu. He threw up just enough to make things a lot worse. We had another follow up appointment that next week. When we saw him they did another MRI only to find out that the throwing up re herniated his disk again. Which meant SURGERY again. The Dr. cleared some time on Friday and redid the same surgery. This time he said he also found a piece of the disk intertwined with the nerve. He said it was like having tinfoil on a filling. Ouch! He was able to remove it and now Casey has no leg pain and is almost back to normal. Yeah!!! Boy am I glad. I hated to see him in so much pain and so miserable. He had gone back to work and I think I am going to miss him being home all the time, he makes some pretty awesome lunches. I guess I am going to have to make my own now. LOL
The girls are doing well, Nati and Payton are enjoying school and dance and keeping their parents busy. Harley is growing up so fast. She is so close to walking. I bet it's not to far off in the future. She has two bottom teeth and they are so cute. She is very busy and into everything.
I am trying to keep up with everyone and everything. This weekend is the Springfest. I set up a booth there and advertise my photography business. It's a lot of fun and I am excited because this year I will actually be able to go. The past two years they have had it the same weekend of the snoride and that takes precedence. So this year I get to do both. Yeah!! Well, I thought I would give a little update but now I need to get back to getting ready for the springfest.
Oh and by the way, I know I said I was going to go private but just when I said I was going to I found out that a lot of other family looks at our blog and I discussed it over with Casey and we decided that it is a great way to keep in touch with family so we would just be careful what we posted so I won't be using full names or anything to that nature so that we can all keep up to date on everyone. Hope that is okay

It's been a long time.
Okay so where did this last month go. Some much has gone on that when I stop to reflect back I can't believe it. But I still don't have much time so this will just be a short recap. The beginning of the month started out with one sick child who passed it along to the next and to the next. Then Casey finally got in to see a nerve specialist for his back problem. We then found out that he needed surgery the Monday after Thanksgiving. So then came and went Thanksgiving and on to Casey's surgery. They did a laminectomy. They went into the lower back drilled out some bone so they could get to the bulged disk that was pressing on his nerve and causing him so much pain. They cut the buldge off and put him back together. His back is feeling much better, however the nerve will take some time to heal. But with all the pain meds he was on he ended up in the ER with a partially blocked bowel. That wasn't fun. It was pretty scary. But all is well now. But I swear November didn't exsist. Now we are just caught up in the hussle of getting ready for Christmas Which snuck up really fast. I had planned to blog a lot this past month with picture and such but it will have to wait until after the holidays. So MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE!!!

Halloween!!
Halloween was a pretty crazy busy day. I had to help at Nati's Halloween Carnival for school. Each classroom has an activity. They asked me to do pictures of the kids in their costumes. I don't think I realized what I was agreeing to. I took over 200 photos of kids in their costumes. I tell you what my hamstrings were pretty sore the next day. To many up and downs I guess. Nati and Jessica took Payton around with them to the different classes and had a great time. Thanks girls for taking such good care of Payton. She had fun.
Jason, Joy and Jocelyn came down to Halloween with us. We had fun truck-or-treating and see Taylor, Rylie, and Camryn in their costumes. Thanks guys for a fun time. Hope we can do it again soon. And Joy thank you for amuzing my girls and letting them dress you up. They enjoyed that and sorry for the torture!! :)
Here are the girls in their costumes.

Yes I did dress up only because I had to help at the school. I really don't like dressing up, but I gave in for the girls. Casey came dressed as a tourist to the trunk-or-treat.

Pumpkin Carving
The Sunday before Halloween we had lots of family over to carve pumpkins. Sue made some delicious Taco Soup and later we carved pumpkins with all the kids. We had a lot of messy fun.
You'd think that these were the adults pumpkins. Ha! Ha! Ha!

Oh wait, I guess they are the kids pumpkins. They look like they are enjoying this, don't they?!

Nati and Payton's finished pumpkins. Cute!!

Harley is just hanging out watching the chaos.
